This series takes a whimsical look at San Francisco's drug and counterculture history. Mythological herbs and other controlled substances are examined through the lens of an old fashioned illustrated field guide. I created the art direction, layout, coloring, and type design for this project. Illustrations by Ivan Brizuela

Inspired by the fallout from police overreaction at San Francisco's yearly flash 'Hill Bomb' skateboard event. This design is literally 'ripped from the headlines'. This piece also coincided with the release of Skate Jawn issue #40. Photograph by Terry Worona

This graphic uses the ethos of a cult movie to pay homage San Francisco's steep hills and the tradition of riding skateboards down them at dangeros speeds. Any skateboarder instantly understand the reference.
